Join the Country Road Group as a Customer Analyst and help shape the way we understand and engage with our customers. In this key role, you’ll turn data into insights that support strategies to drive customer engagement, retention, and loyalty.
Working closely with our Marketing, Loyalty, and Customer Engagement teams, you'll be responsible for gathering, interpreting, and presenting customer data to support both day-to-day decisions and long-term strategic planning. Your work will play a vital role in helping the business better understand our customers and deliver exceptional experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Perform detailed customer data analysis using SQL to extract actionable insights from large datasets.
- Write complex SQL queries to explore, retrieve, and analyse data from various sources, supporting both ad-hoc analysis and ongoing reporting needs.
- Support the creation of dashboards and reports in Tableau and Google Data Studio, ensuring data accuracy and relevance for key stakeholders.
- Help design and maintain reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau and Google Data Studio to visualise key metrics, campaign performance, and customer behaviour trends.
- Assist with customer data analysis, identifying trends, patterns, and insights related to customer engagement, retention, and campaign performance.
- Support customer behaviour analysis in customer segmentation and analysis of key metrics like CLV and churn.
- Assist in personalisation strategies, journey mapping, and engagement initiatives and contribute to loyalty program optimisation through ongoing data analysis and KPI reporting.
- Apply predictive analytics, machine learning, and statistical techniques to deliver actionable insights that support customer engagement, personalisation, and marketing optimisation.
Key capabilities
- Experience in data analysis, customer analytics, or a related role
- Proficiency in SQL for querying data, with the ability to write complex queries to extract insights from large datasets.
- Experience with data visualisation tools like Tableau or Google Data Studio to create interactive dashboards and reports.
- Experience working with Python, R, and SQL, as well as cloud-based platforms like AWS or Google Cloud as well as Google Analytics.
- Experience with basic customer data analysis, including segmentation, campaign analysis, and customer behaviour reporting.
- Ability to organise and structure data from multiple sources for analysis.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and ensuring compliance in data collection and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and support multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to present data and insights clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve data-related issues, especially when writing SQL queries.
