At Country Road Group, data is at the heart of how we understand our customers and shape the future of retail. We’re on the lookout for a Data Scientist who’s passionate about solving complex business problems with advanced analytics and machine learning.

As a Data Scientist, you'll partner closely with the Senior Data Scientist and cross-functional teams—including Loyalty, Customer Engagement, and IT—to turn data into actionable insights. You'll be instrumental in developing and deploying models that enhance customer loyalty, predict churn, measure campaign performance, and optimise digital marketing strategies.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, and optimisation of machine learning models and statistical models
  • Build and refine predictive models and machine learning algorithms
  • Apply predictive analytics, machine learning, and statistical techniques to deliver actionable insights that support customer engagement, personalisation, and marketing optimisation.
  • Develop churn prediction, RFM, incrementality, and forecasting models
  • Collaborate across departments to translate business challenges into data solutions
  • Manage and maintain scalable codebases for productionised models

Key capabilities

  • Hands on experience in data science or advanced analytics, with a strong foundation in machine learning, predictive modelling, and statistical analysis.
  • Practical exposure to building models such as churn prediction, RFM segmentation, incrementality analysis, and forecasting for digital marketing campaigns is highly regarded.
  • Proficient in version control and code management practices, with familiarity using tools like Git.
  • Skilled in Python, R, and SQL, with experience working on cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, Loyalty, and Marketing, to deliver impactful data science solutions.
