Workforce Management Resource Planner - Country Road Group

The Workforce Management Resource Planner will be responsible for designing and maintaining effective workforce schedules that balance operational demand, labour efficiency, employee availability and compliance requirements.

Working closely with Retail Operations, Finance, Payroll, People and regional leadership teams, you will play a key role in ensuring workforce planning decisions are data-driven, commercially focused and aligned to business goals. You will also contribute to reporting, workforce analytics and continuous improvement initiatives that help optimise labour performance across the organisation.

How You Will Contribute

  • Build and maintain effective rosters aligned to forecasted demand, trading patterns and operational requirements
  • Design shift structures that optimise labour efficiency, productivity, service levels and workforce sustainability
  • Analyse workforce trends, sales demand and labour utilisation to identify improvement opportunities
  • Partner with operational and planning stakeholders to align workforce plans with business objectives
  • Monitor rosters and schedules to ensure compliance with labour laws, retail awards, enterprise agreements and internal policies
  • Identify and escalate potential compliance risks relating to hours, breaks, penalty rates and roster rules
  • Analyse compliance reporting to identify trends, recurring issues and process improvement opportunities
  • Develop, maintain and enhance workforce reporting including capacity vs demand, utilisation and shrinkage analysis
  • Support strategic workforce planning through ad hoc reporting, scenario modelling and labour analysis
  • Maintain accurate workforce data within Dayforce, including employee availability, leave records and scheduling inputs
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve data discrepancies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve upstream data quality and workforce processes
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that strengthen system accuracy and reporting reliability.  

Capabilities We Value

  • Previous experience within a retail or store environment
  • Experience working with workforce management systems, ideally Dayforce
  • Strong analytical and investigative mindset with the ability to identify trends and solve problems
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability
  • Ability to work collaboratively across People, Payroll, Finance, IT and Retail Operations teams
  • Understanding of workforce planning principles, labour optimisation and scheduling practices
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency, accuracy and operational outcomes.
