The Workforce Management Process & Systems Lead will drive the optimisation, consistency and effectiveness of workforce management processes across the business.

In this role, you will act as the operational owner of workforce management processes and Dayforce functionality, ensuring systems and workflows support accurate workforce planning, compliant rostering and efficient operational outcomes. You will partner closely with Payroll, People, Retail Operations, Finance and IT teams to ensure workforce processes are scalable, practical and aligned with business requirements.

This is a highly collaborative role suited to someone who enjoys combining operational thinking, process improvement and workforce systems expertise to deliver meaningful business impact.

How You Will Contribute

  • Lead the design, documentation and continuous improvement of end-to-end workforce management processes
  • Identify process inefficiencies, risks and gaps, implementing practical and scalable improvements
  • Drive standardisation of key WFM activities including rostering, leave management, timesheet approvals and workforce compliance practices
  • Lead initiatives that enhance Dayforce functionality and optimise workforce management processes
  • Partner with Payroll, People, Finance and Retail Operations to identify process improvements and control enhancements
  • Coordinate requirements gathering, testing, implementation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Dayforce configuration, functionality and workforce management best practice
  • Identify opportunities to better leverage Dayforce capability to improve workforce efficiency and reporting
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, data issues and system configuration concerns
  • Recommend and implement improvements that enhance compliance, usability and operational efficiency
  • Support change management initiatives through training, communication and process documentation
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to reinforce consistent system usage and best practice
  • Identify recurring user issues and contribute to targeted capability-building initiatives.

Capabilities We Value

  • Previous experience within a retail or store environment
  • Strong experience working with workforce management systems, ideally Dayforce
  • Proven capability in workforce management process design, optimisation and governance
  • Experience managing system-related projects, process improvements and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Strong understanding of workforce compliance, payroll impacts and operational workforce planning
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across Payroll, People, Finance, IT and Retail Operations teams
  • Analytical and investigative mindset with strong problem-solving capability
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex processes for operational users
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
