Reporting to the Store Manager, this role is responsible for driving end-to-end operational excellence by embedding streamlined and efficient processes both front and back of house, ensuring seamless stock flow, efficient operations and a positive customer experience.Key Accountabilities
Responsible for all back-of-house operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient support function for the store
Lead the team to deliver store operational excellence through effective stock management and loss prevention activities
Partner with retail management and visual merchandising to drive a culture of continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to enhance stockroom efficiency, refill processes, merchandise presentation and stock schedule recommendations
Manage daily financial operations including end-of-day reconciliation, banking procedures and secure cash handling in accordance with company policy
Provide training and development for the team on operational excellence, including key processes like the Magenta process, Connected Retail and stock availability
Maintain a well-organised and efficient stockroom, adhering to established standards, managing deliveries, ensuring accurate inventory management and ensuring the safety and security of the stockroom
Identify and raise opportunities to further operational efficiency via process improvements (eg. Management of inventory, ISF and C&C), utilising available technology and sharing best practice. Pilot and support new initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, reducing waste and improving back of house operations
Implement and adhere to WHS policies and procedures, guidelines and safe work practices within your area of responsibility.
Key Capabilities
Demonstrated experience in a stockroom or warehouse management role, ideally within a retail environment
Strong understanding of inventory management systems and processes
Proven ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve operational goals
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong understanding of WHS procedures and practices
Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for stock management and reporting.
