Job type: Full-Time
As a Front-End Developer, you’ll play a key role in crafting high-performing, responsive, and visually compelling web experiences that drive customer engagement and elevate brand perception. Positioned within the Digital Product team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative front-end features, feature experiments, and UI components across CRG's websites, with a strong focus on optimising the end-to-end customer journey.
Leveraging modern frameworks such as React.js, deployment tools like Vercel, and managing content component creation with platforms like Contentful, you’ll help ensure our digital touchpoints are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with each brand’s vision. This role requires a keen eye for design and a strong understanding of best practices in front-end development. Your work will be instrumental in delivering optimised user journeys that meet both trade objectives and enhance the overall digital customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement front-end features for websites using React.js, ensuring responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and optimal performance.
Collaborate with design and product teams to translate wireframes and mock-ups into interactive, user-friendly interfaces.
Work closely with back-end engineers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic and APIs.
Design, implement, and maintain feature flags to support experimentation, ensuring code integrity by deprecating failed experiments and integrating successful experiments into the core code.
Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality.
Key Capabilities
Strong proficiency in React.js, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
Solid experience with TypeScript and its application in a modern front-end stack.
Experience with frameworks like Next.js for server-side rendering (SSR) or static site generation (SSG).
Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and working in an Agile/Scrum workflow.
Demonstrated experience with headless CMS platforms, particularly Contentful.
Experience with deployment and hosting platforms like Vercel.
Experience using optimisation and experimentation platforms (e.g., Optimizely, Hotjar, Contentsquare).
Ability to translate high-fidelity designs (e.g., from Figma, InVision) into functional and pixel-perfect web pages.
